The exhibition - realized thanks to the contribution of the Carisbo Foundation - is a tribute to Giuliano Gresleri, a well-known architect and professor of history of modern architecture, a prominent figure in the Bolognese cultural panorama of the late twentieth century, linked to the construction program for the new churches in the suburbs citizen during the episcopate of Cardinal Giacomo Lercaro.
The aim of the exhibition is not to trace the role of Gresleri within that experimental season, but to reveal his graphic and figurative work: an intimate dimension, a cradle for understanding his recognized and renowned intellectual and professional contribution in architecture . Gresleri presents private, personal artworks. In the intimacy of his study, he remedied and refined the lesson of the Masters, measuring himself with the physical objects that surround him, with loved ones and with the memories of the places, thus obtaining original figurative and compositional combinations that play on the contours of the forms and on the color. Gresleri teaches us to recover the value of spontaneous creativity, the courage to dare, to observe one's own interior by translating it into the language of art.
