The exhibition collects a prestigious corpus of the painter's works which are among the most influential and recognized from the Italian 19th centrury.
Sponsored by the Emilia-Romagna region, it includes over seventy works from the Giorgio and Isa De Chirico Foundation in Rome and reconstructs two important moments of De Chirico’s painting: "the baroque" season and the "neomethaphysic" season.
The first developed from 1938 to 1968, when De Chirico was inspired by Rubens and the great masters such as Dürer, Raffaello and Delacroix. Whilst, the second one developed in the decade 1968-78.
Thanks to this exhibition it will be possible to admire fundamental works of both of both the "baroque" and the "neomethaphysic" season.
