On Sunday, 26 April 2026, the Teatro Comunale Laura Betti in Casalecchio di Reno (BO) will stage the children's show Il flauto magico (The Magic Flute).
Based on Die Zauberflöte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this adaptation of the famous opera combines fairy-tale, comic and archetypal elements, bringing to the stage the triumph of light over darkness and wisdom over ignorance.
The aim is to introduce the younger generation to the world of opera, making them fall in love with this musical genre.
This show is part of a programme, “Chi ben comincia è a metà dell'Opera!” (Well begun is half done!), consisting of workshops and shortened versions of the most famous operas, designed for schools.
