From 29 November to 14 December 2025, Bologna and its metropolitan area celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a rich programme designed to promote accessibility, inclusion, and cultural participation.
Museums and cultural venues present 31 inclusive activities, including tactile guided tours, Italian Sign Language (LIS) tours, workshops, talks, readings, concerts, motor expression activities and sensory experiences, involving 17 institutions across 11 municipalities. A shared commitment to making cultural heritage increasingly accessible from a physical, sensory and cognitive perspective.
Participating venues in Bologna include: La Quadreria di ASP, Museo d’Arte Lercaro, Palazzo Magnani, Palazzo Pepoli, the Civic Museums Sector, and the University Museum System. In the metropolitan area, institutions such as the Carpigiani Gelato Museum, the Museum of Peasant Culture, the Rocca of Dozza, Imola Museums, the Luigi Donini Prehistory Museum, the Automobili Lamborghini Museum, and many others take part.
