Nestled in the green Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, at the foot of Mount Montovolo, the Agriturismo I Fondacci offers an authentic welcome, between nature and tradition. Emilian cuisine is the protagonist, enriched with local, seasonal ingredients and garden produce.
Specialities include dishes based on spelt and fresh pasta rolled out with a rolling pin, according to the Emilian peasant tradition. Among the best-loved dishes are their revisited tortelloni, tortellini, potato gnocchi and handmade tagliatelle with meat sauce, sausage, mushrooms or truffle, depending on the season. There are also tigelle, crescentine made with stone-ground flour, fried polenta and the “Peppina” dessert, with a family recipe. By reservation, also venison and wild boar dishes from the local wildlife area. Fruit and vegetables from the garden, processed into preserves and garden vegetables in the richer seasons, complete the offer.
