Bologna Welcome is Bologna’s Convention & Visitors Bureau and is responsible for the development and management of tourist welcoming services, as well as for the promotion of Bologna and its territory both at a national and international level.
It is a company founded by Bologna’s Chamber of Commerce in association with Bologna Fiere, Bologna’s G.Marconi Airport, Confcommercio, Federalberghi Bologna, Confartigianato Imprese Bologna, Confederazione Nazionale dell’Artigianato e della Piccola Impresa Associativa Provincia di Bologna, Legacoop Bologna, Confesercenti Provinciale di Bologna and Confcoop Unione Provinciale Bologna.
Its mission is to promote the territory, to welcome and inform tourists and to make the local economic system grow by offering general and specialised training. Bologna Welcome supports the local economy to identify new market opportunities, develop sustainable high-quality products and perform efficient promotional actions as regards identified targets, with the common objective of making Bologna a tourist destination of primary importance both at a national and international level.
The Bologna Welcome points are found in Piazza Maggiore, at the arrival area of G. Marconi International Airport, at FICO Eataly World and in the Trade Fair; all the points supply information services and tourist welcome info, as well as incoming services.
Tourists and citizens can contact the Bologna Welcome points to receive tourist information on the territory, on exhibitions, museums and events and access booking services, organisation of tours and guided tours, railway ticketing, pre-sales for events and purchase of merchandising.
