How did the Villanovan people live? What were the tools of their daily life? The Museo della civiltà Villanoviana exhibits different objects from the Iron Age to find out how the domertic life looked like some thousands years ago. The visit starts on some large finds on a platform in the middle of the hall: three doli and a terracotta ring pertaining to the shirt of a well. In the showcases, among the objects linked to spinning and weaving, the principal piece is the pyxis from the National Archaeological Museum in Policoro (MT). The instrumentation linked to the preparation, storage and cooking of food collects pottery of various shapes and with different functions, including some terracotta stoves from the Museum of Ethnographic Prehistory Pigorini in Rome. The exhibition closes with a series of objects related to subsistence activities and handcraft. Among these stand out the sandstone matrix, with the function of a casting shape, of the Museum of Paletnology Chierici in Reggio Emilia and a specialized set of tools for working clay.
