Bologna
The Jewish Museum of Bologna on the 40th anniversary of the Beit Hatfutsot in Tel Aviv - Jewish People's Museum and 70 years since the founding of the State of Israel, hosts the photo exhibition "Celebrating Israel 70". The exhibition gathers a selection of the most representative moments of the birth of the State of Israel, seen through the eyes of its people. The new citizens who made Aliyah - immigration to Israel are shown; literally "climb" - towards the young state. Their battles and their triumphs highlight how these immigrants have overcome the difficulties of governing a new state with very few resources. In the exhibition, the panels and personal stories allow visitors to deepen the main historical events of Israel, to go into the lives of its first immigrants, to know how they got in the new state and see how they could adapt to life in the new homeland. Organized in chronological and thematic order, "Celebrating 70 Israel" gives visitors a comprehensive picture of the formation of the state: the extensive and careful captions by Beit Hatfutsot inform on the stories and situations depicted in evocative images. The photos on display are taken from The Bernard H. and Miriam Oster Visual Documentation Center, Beit Hatfutsot, The Museum of the Jewish People, Tel Aviv more information and updates www.museoebraicobo.it Opening hours From Sunday to Thursday – 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
