Swan Lake - Ballet at Comunale Nouveau

At the Comunale Nouveau, the Ballet Preljocaj performs Le Lac des Cygnes in Angelin Preljocaj's daring reinterpretation created in 2020 for 26 dancers. Based on the classical ballet masterpiece Swan Lake, composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, the French artist of Albanian origin, who has collaborated with the Paris Opera, the New York City Ballet and La Scala, has combined the original music with contemporary arrangements by the 79D collective, revisiting the myth of the swan ballerina. The videos are by Boris Labbé, the lighting by Éric Soyer and the costumes by Igor Chapurin.
