Bologna
On May 19 there will be a performance by the a cappella choir Goccia Di Voci IT in the picturesque location of the Hermitage of Ronzano.
The choir offers a fascinating journey through the vocal polyphonies of the world, from Africa to Eastern Europe to the Caribbean and South America. The beating heart of this concert is dedicated to Haiti, a country that has always struggled against Western neoliberal exploitation and is now at the end of its tether. The Haitian songs, shaped on the dances and rhythms of the Youruba people of West Africa, invoke the Loa, spirits of the Voodoo ... Wangol, Ezili, Batalà, Gede Nibo are some of the deities to whom in the songs the people address. Let us dance and sing in the name of hope, justice and freedom! Let us dance and sing for Haiti and for all countries victimized by oppression!
