THE SQUARE OF THE CINETECA DI BOLOGNA DEDICATED TO “PIER PAOLO PASOLINI – POET”
On 10th December the square was officially dedicated to the poet on the occasion of the upcoming events, of which the Cineteca di Bologna is co-producer, that will celebrate Pasolini at the MoMA in New York
“What does Bologna have that it is so beautiful?”: here's how Pier Paolo Pasolini talked about the city that saw him being born and that met him again during the years of adolescence and early adulthood. Now Bologna returns by dedicating the square in front of the Cineteca (till then via Azzo Gardino, 65) to “Pier Paolo Pasolini – Poet”.
After the announcement made during the last moths, the occasion for the official ceremony are the upcoming events, of which the Cineteca di Bologna is co-producer, together with the Istituto Luce Cinecittà, that will celebrate Pier Paolo Pasolini at the MoMA in New York, with a complete retrospective of PPP's films. The Cineteca di Bologna has now published the volume Pier Paolo Pasolini. My Cinema, which retraces step by step Pasolini's filmography, through his own writings, translated in English and accompanied by a rich collection of photographs.
