Monte La Nuda

Mount La Nuda is not as famous as its neighbour (Mount Corno alle Scale), but it’s anyhow capable of instilling unique feelings to those who are determined to reach its top! The climb will give you a hard time, but those who want to test themselves on less “famous” and “busy” trails will be rewarded by a wonderful panorama and a peaceful atmosphere. The lack of long-stemmed vegetation explains the name “La Nuda” (the naked one).

A special mention goes to the art installations on Via dei Signori, inaugurated in 1994 as part of the project “Trails of Art” (a collaboration between the Park of Corno alle Scale and the Municipality of Lizzano in Belvedere). All artworks are made of local materials, in some cases having recourse to local manpower and factories (especially concerning stone and iron). In the framework of the same 1998 project, the Vidiciatico Falls were enriched in turn with significant art installations under the overall name of “Genesi dell’acqua” (Water Genesis).
