Rocca di Imola

Imola area

East of the city of Bologna where Emilia borders on Romagna, lies Imola.
Today, the city of Imola is appreciated throughout the world for its mechanical and automotive traditions. The Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodrome still hosts important international and domestic motoring events. It is the foremost and most immediately recognizable excellence this territory has to offer.
There are many sites to visit in this area that are interesting from the historical and artistic point of view, starting with Imola itself with its Rocca Sforzesca , the Museum pole. Then continue onwards to the medieval village of Dozza wrapped in its fortified town walls and dominated by the Rocca. Then there’s Castel San Pietro Terme, the Alidosi bridge at Castel del Rio.
