Aterballetto performs Shakespeare’s The Tempest to bring the dancing and theatre worlds closer together.

With The Tempest, Aterballetto has decided to face a challenge: put dancing and its capability of telling the stories and characters of a theatrical narration to the test, shedding light on them in an original way and observing them from new points of view. It guarantees a clear readability of Shakespeare's story yet opens visionary dimensions. We start from a tempest, the one that brought Prospero and Miranda to the island and then retrace the events described by Shakespeare putting the spotlight on some topics of great human depth.
Straight to the heart of one of the most extraordinary dramas of the great English writer thanks to the choreography of young Giuseppe Spota, dramaturgy of Pasquale Plastino, original music by Giuliano Sangiorgi and critical consult of Antonio Audino.
