The exhibition “STIGMĂTA. La tradizione del tatuaggio in Italia” (Stigmata. Tattoo tradition in Italy) - at Museo Medievale in Bologna from March 29 to April 30, 2017, features images and drawings never seen before of prisoners and organized crime affiliates, studied between the  19th and the 20th centuries, and coming from the Criminal Anthropology Museum “Cesare Lombroso” - University of Turin.

Visitors can also discover the tattoo culture through photos, tools and printed matters coming from the private collections of Danilo Rossi Lajolo di Cossano, Tattoo Museo Fercioni and Marco Pisa's Art Tattoo Studio.

The exhibition is open by the conference “L’origine del Marchio” (The origin of the stigma -  Wednesday, March 29) held by two special speakers: Nicolaj Lilin author of the novel "Siberian Education" and Danilo Rossi Lajolo di Cossano.
STIGMĂTA - La tradizione del tatuaggio in Italia is organized by Associazione STIGMĂTA, in collaboration with Istituzione Bologna Musei | Musei Civici d'Arte Antica and Tattoo Expò Bologna (Unipol Arena / 31 March-2 April 2017 - www.tattooexpo.info).
