Two years after her death, at MAMbo – Project Room an exhibition that pays homage to Rosanna Chiessi, great protagonist of the Italian and international art, whose name is connected with the spreading and knowledge of some of the most influential avant-gardes of the second half of the 20th century.
The exhibition is conceived as a biographic portrait, modelled by the combination of some composite materials capable of telling about the poetries and the main events she promoted. Hence, on show there are works made by the artists who developed the strongest friendship with Chiessi, symbolic objects such as the big table of her house-atelier in Cavriago, or iconic objects related with charismatic artists, like the jacket signed by Joseph Beuys. The exhibition also features photos, numbered editions, and artist’s books coming from private collections and from the Archivio Storico Pari&Dispari - Rosanna Chiessi.
"Rosanna Chiessi. Pari&Dispari" is curated by Lorenzo Balbi, and organized in collaboration with Archivio Storico Pari&Dispari - Rosanna Chiessi, and the Comune di Reggio Emilia Biblioteca Panizzi.
