From January 27 until March 26 Martino Genchi presents at the Museo Civico Medievale (Medieval Municipal Museum) his project called Raccogli la cosa nell'occhio, interpreting the gaps left by history on some finds.
Damage and void generated by earthquakes, looting, and destruction become signs of a conflict between the quest for eternity and the daily tear and wear. The missing components have to be seen as an integral part of the shape to which they belong: additional visual signs on top of those displayed inside the museum. The project is enriched by the comment of Claudio Musso.
The exhibition is part of the fifth edition of ART CITY Bologna, an institutional program of exhibitions, events and cultural initiatives developed jointly by the City of Bologna and BolognaFiere. During Arte Fiera, it offers new opportunities to discover and learn about artistic heritage through a dialogue with contemporary art.
