The concert is dedicated to the "Spiritual" in the first half of the 17th Century. Monica Piccinini is a "Bel canto" singer who is also well-versed in the "recitar cantando". Simone Vallerotonda is a musicologist and also a renowned theorbo, lute and guitar player. The concert includes instrumental (capricci, toccate, passacaglie) and vocal pieces. At the hearth there are the sacred repertoire of Monteverdi and other composers in the same area, such as Barbara Strozzi.
