Within Bologna Festival 2018 - Il Nuovo L'Antico - "Itinerari Vocali", five concerts dedicated to vocal literature from the Middle Ages to the end of the nineteenth century. ORATORIO DI SAN FILIPPO NERI Tuesday 18 September 2018 at 8,30pm ITINERARI VOCALI Odhecaton Paolo Da Col conductor «Gli umori di Orlando di Lasso» music by Orlando di Lasso and Filippo Azzaiolo The Flemish musician Orlando di Lasso (1532 - 1594) owes his fame to an absolute control of the contrapuntal technique, to a composing attitude strongly based on tradition but also open to experimentation, and to a writing which combines richness and levity. Odhecaton is an extraordinary ensemble of male voices specialized in the music of the Renaissance and Pre-classical era, conducted by Paolo Da Col, who follows the criteria of "applied musicology".
