Simone Cristicchi stages "The second son of God", his new performance based on the incredible but true story of David Lazzaretti called the “Amiata's Christ”. "The second son of God" is about the great adventure of a mystic, the utopia of a turn-of-the-century visionary that managed to combine faith and community, religion and social justice. Between unreleased songs and acting, the protagonist story teller reconstructs the parable of Lazzaretti, from carter to prophet, controversial character, mentioned and studied by Gramsci, Tolstoj, Pascoli, Lombroso and Father Balducci. With the aid of video projections and an ever changing scenery the actor-singer Cristicchi describes the ”last heretic” Lazzaretti and that small strip of Tuscany (Arcidosso and Mount Amiata) which becomes a co-star in the story of a dream.
