From April 17th the public can easily discover the heritage of Opera Pia Poveri Vergognosi with the exhibition Figure del tempo barocco(Figures of the Baroque period), featuring about 30 figure paintings made by artists from Bologna or who worked in the city between 1600 and 1700.
The curator Marco Riccòmini has selected artworks with some new attributions and with a new critic review, mainly preferring less famous painters. Among the artists on show, Giuseppe Maria Crespi, Cesare Gennari, Ercole Graziani and Giuseppe Varotti. The exhibition Figure del tempo barocco - promoted by Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna, is at Fondazione del Monte - via delle Donzelle 2 Bologna, from Sunday, April 17 to Sunday, June 12 (vernissage on Saturday, April 16 at 6.30pm), open daily from 10am to 7pm. Admission is free.
