From Tuesday 5 to Sunday 10 September contemporary dance invades Bologna, from the centre to the suburbs and up to the hills, with the 27th edition of Danza Urbana, the first Italian festival dedicated to the relationship between dance and urban spaces.
Squares, gardens and museums are transformed into unusual stages to present to the public some of the protagonists of international contemporary dance. Among the highlights of the new edition are the national premiere of Metis by Mariagiulia Serantoni and Francesca Penzo and the premiere of Stuporosa by dancer and choreographer Francesco Marilungo, who recreates on stage the rituality linked to the collective processing of mourning.
The fragility and at the same time the strength of the body and human experience are at the centre of Kinkaleri's performance Hello°. The performance Body Farm by Ubu Prize-winning choreographer Silvia Rampelli/Habillé d'Eau is closing the festival on Sunday. Programme available at www.danzaurbana.eu.
All appointments are free entrance except HellO° by Kinkaleri, Stuporosa by Francesco Marilungo and Body Farm. A place for contemplation by Silvia Rampelli: tickets online at www.boxerticket.it or at the performance venues.
