Xing and Home Movies/Archivio Aperto present two Super 8 mm films by Florence painter and film-maker Andrea Granchi: Cosa succede in periferia? (1971) and Il giovane rottame (1972). On the occasion of the 11th edition of Archivio Aperto and as part of a focus on experimental cinema in 1968, Raum features two events dedicated to Italian expanded cinema with the presentation of two rare Super 8 and 16 mm by Gianni Castagnoli (December 1st) and Andrea Granchi (December 2nd). Two figures that showcase Italian 'cinema’ in its visionary and unique variety of approaches to moving images. It is an occasion to shed light on new discoveries that are still incredibly current regarding our technological imagination and optical subconscious. Sunday December 2nd at 9 pm, Xing and Home Movies/Archivio Aperto present two Super 8 mm films by Florence painter and film-maker Andrea Granchi at Raum: Cosa succede in periferia? (1971) and Il giovane rottame (1972). The artist will attend the event together with his collaborator at the time, Renato Ranaldi, a visual artist and saxophone player with whom he shared the Teatro Musicale Integrale experience.
