Since 2011, Cristiana Morganti, one of the most famous dancers of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, has undertook an autonomous path as solo performer and choreographer; awarded the same year the Positano Leonide Massine Award as Best Contemporary Dancer of the Year and the Danza & Danza Award as Best Performer/Choreographer in 2014. A Fury Tale, which concept, direction and choreography is signed by Cristiana Morganti, is the continuation of her two initial creations Jessica and me and Moving with Pina, that involved her also as protagonist on stage. In this piece Morganti isn’t performing, offering her the possibility to perceive her work from a critical point of view. The piece is performed by Anna Wehsarg and Anna Fingerhuth, both ex dancers of Tanztheater. Tall, fair skinned and red haired. Two twins, at the same time similar and different, friends and competitors, rabid and affectionate. Two female bodies are compared, from the inside and the outside, with the purpose of seeking a relation, that will enlighten them; translating each of their unique traits through vision, energy and soul.
