This symphony for voice and orchestra by Gustav Mahler is an absolute masterpiece of the early twentieth century. Composed between the 1899 and the 1901 it will be performed in a transcription for chamber orchestra completely new starting from that of the 1921 by Erwin Stein (1885-1958), a pupil of Arnold Schönberg.
