Thanks to the famous painters who decorated this place (students of Carracci painters), the Oratory becomes and hidden unknown jewel. The decoration started at the beginning of 1600, by Francesco Albani, Lucio Massari, Domenichino, Francesco Brizio, Guido Reni and other artists, who represented the Cycle of the Passion of the Christ.

Hearing disability

The entrance does not present any difficulty for the hearing impaired.
Orientation on your own requires the use of a visual support.
The museum's itinerary follows a thematic criterion, not a chronological one, which is linked to the type of instruments exhibited.
The contents require supplementary material to be fully understood, since the captions are reduced to the name of the instrument or consist of very technical explanations.
More information can be obtained through a touch screen, which offers images that can be zoomed full size and two possible reading paths: the place and the instruments to listen to.
The educational activities are part of the offer of Genus Bononiae and consist of guided tours with and for schools, sensory and practical workshops, excursions, summer activities and performances for different age groups.
Wi-fi is open and free but there is a timed code limiting the access.
In addition to temporary exhibitions, the museum organises a rich calendar of musical events throughout the year.

Motor disability and difficulty of movement

Before the entrance door, there is a 7 cm step and immediately following the ticket office there are two further steps 17 cm high to access the collection.
Please note that, at a height of 150 cm, there is a bell which can be rung to ask for access to a secondary entrance, equipped with a wooden foot board.
The complex has a lift, but its small size does not allow access to everyone.
The crypt can only be reached by taking a staircase of 13 steps.
