Located in the homonymous square in Vergato, the building serves as Vergato town hall.
It originally was a 15th century house, which became the seat of the Mountain Captains after architectural alterations in 1483.
Its structure altered by additional modifications during the centuries, it owes nowadays’ appearance to the 1945 reconstruction (based on design plans by Tito Azzolini and Alfonso Rubbiani) dictated by the grievous damage sustained during the WW2 airstrikes on the town.
