Cycling track of Villa Spada Sabbiuno

You can reach Sabbiuno by taking different routes that allow you to experience the sights and history of the hillsides around Bologna.
An excellent starting point is Villa Spada, a green space just outside Porta Saragozza, which is home to a public library and the Tapestry Museum.
Proceeding along via di Casaglia you reach San Pellegrino Park, from where you can catch a glimpse of the Longhena school completely surrounded by greenery.
Moving on to Cavaioni Park you arrive at the junction of San Luca, which by via di Monte Albano takes you to the Sanctuary of San Luca. At this point you have the option to proceed to the Basilica or continue along the route that leads to Sabbiuno, where you can admire the typical geological formation of the territory of Bologna, that of the badlands, and reflect on the history of the Resistance at the War Memorial.

Villa Spada

The villa is located in the old estate of the marquis Zambeccari and replaced the building called Casino Zambeccari already mentioned by sources dating back to 1774. Since 1990 the villa has housed the Historical Museum of Tapestry "Vittorio Zironi".
