San Michele in Bosco

One of the most panoramic places of the surrounding hills of Bologna and its parvis offers a wonderful view of the city and of the plane till the Alps chain, including in one view the old towers, the outlines of the seventeenth century domes and the modern buildings of the Fiera District.

Le due Torri: Garisenda e degli Asinelli

The traditional symbol of Bologna. In the late 12th century, at least one hundred towers dotted the town's skyline, but today only twenty have survived the ravages of fire, warfare and lightning. From the top of the Asinelli Tower, you can enjoy an incomparable panoramic view of the city.

Giardini Margherita

Huge and centrally located, it is the largest city park. It is inspired by the English romantic parks: big tree-lined avenues, a little lake surrounded by artificial gypsum cliffs, wide lawns, oaks groves and other more natural edges, a series of considerable samples trees, mainly exotics. The perfect spot for a long romantic walk!

Sanctuary of San Luca

Located on top of Guardia hill, it is one of Bologna's symbol. The stroll under the longest portico in the world that climbs up the hill is one of the most romantic walks and when you reach the top the view is breathtaking: the whole Bologna spreads before the eyes

Piazza Maggiore is located at the very centre of Bologna. In the past the square underwent many changes and was further enriched with important buildings. It is the ideal setting for a romantic evening stroll, hand in hand.

Piazza Santo Stefano

This triangular square is one of the most romantic places in the world. A magical place to be at night, when it's not so busy and you can sit under a portico and admire its beauty in peace with your loved one.

Finestrella di Via Piella

This corner of the city is known as "little Venice". Looking out among the buildings, through a little window, you can see one of the few stretches of running water, which was not covered with asphalt between the beginning of the 20th century and the postwar period.

Rocchetta Mattei

Parco della Chiusa

The park covers 110 hectares between the Reno River and the ridge of the first Bolognese hills. It offers a wide variety of landscapes and paths that wind on the hillside and through the woods along the Reno River. From the park you can admire a suggestive sunset on the Chiusa di Casalecchio.
