Mazzacorati Theater: 260 years of history

On September 24, 1763, the performance of Voltaire's Alzira inaugurated the 1763 Mazzacorati Theater. 260 years later we celebrate this important anniversary with a special evening that pays tribute to the more than two centuries of history of this 18th-century gem.

Actor Giovanni Soave will read passages from Voltaire's Alzira, taking us back to the atmosphere of 1763, accompanied by Emanuela Degli Esposti's harp. Next, the duo composed of Emanuela Degli Esposti on harp and Marino Bedetti on oboe will offer a concert with music by composers spanning three centuries, from Alessandro Marcello to Astor Piazzolla.
