Arte Fiera is Italy's longest-running modern and contemporary art fair. It will take place from 3 to 5 February 2023, in the traditional pavilions 25 and 26 of the Bologna Exhibition Centre, under the direction of Simone Menegoi and Enea Righi.
The structure of the fair is at the heart of this renewal process. The Main Section, divided as always between historical and contemporary art, is now flanked by three curated and invitation-only sections: Photography and Moving Images, Pittura XXI (painting), and the newcomer Multipli (multiples), open both to galleries and to publishers and specialised bookshops, which proposes works in editions. Alongside the curated sections, Arte Fiera 2023 also launches a new format: Percorso (path). Not a section as such but, as the title indicates, an itinerary connecting a certain number of stands in the Main section according to a thematic criterion. The theme of the first Percorso is a material/technique that has experienced an international rediscovery in recent years: ceramics.
Arte Fiera is also pleased to reconfirm its close collaboration with the Municipality of Bologna, which during the event will present the 11th edition of ART CITY Bologna
, the programme of events and exhibitions directed by Lorenzo Balbi, Artistic Director of MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna
