At Palazzo Albergati in Bologna, Arthemisia presents the exhibition Oliviero Toscani. 80 years as situationist (Oliviero Toscani. 80 anni da situazionista) curated by Nicolas Ballario. An exhibition that traces the career of the great photographer. Over 100 photographs stage the creative power and career of Oliviero Toscani through more and less known images. "80 Anni da situazionista" is the title that has been chosen precisely this great retrospective, not only to celebrate the vocation of Toscani, but also for the 80 years that the photographer accomplished just a few weeks ago. Toscani through photography has made the world discuss issues such as racism, the death penalty, AIDS, war, sex, violence, anorexia and much more. There will be all his most famous campaigns on display, those that have shaken public opinion through billboards and pages of newspapers, but also a less known Toscani, like that of the very first years. So among the works on display the famous poster 2Jesus Jeansː Who loves me follow me", Kiss between priest and nun of 1992, the Three Hearts White/Black/Yellow of 1996, No-Anorexia of 2007 and many more, but also the images made for fashion (from Donna Jordan to Claudia Schiffer, up to those of Monica Bellucci) and even those of the period of his training at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich. On display also dozens of portraits that have "changed the world", such as Mick Jagger, Lou Reed, Carmelo Bene, Federico Fellini.
