From December 8th it is possible to visit the animated crib of Porretta Terme: a collection of crafts and landscapes made of human history that finds its deepest sense in the Nativity scene. In 2000, Leonardo Antonelli and Francesco Mascagni began to build the “Crib of the Friars” in the basement of the Cappuccini church. Since then it has been increasingly expanded and enriched year by year. Built in the large basement under the Cappuccini church of Porretta Terme, it is a traditional crib, even though the last part of the earthly presence of Jesus is also introduced in the scene. The crib reproduces an ancient lifetime, almost a museum of crafts and landscapes that have disappeared today. Yet, plunging in the that atmosphere, you can feel how human history, though in its continuous flowing, finds its deepest sense in the Nativity scene.
