Monte Bibele archaological and environmental area opening


Not far from Bologna, in the municipality of Monterenzio, there is the archaeological area of Monte Bibele, a place unique in its kind for biodiversity and human activity that constitutes a point of reference for the understanding and study of Celtic-Italic settlements in the Apennines and of the presence of the Celts in Italy.

The area completely reorganized thanks to the project realized with the contribution of European funds for the regional development in Emilia Romagna POR FESR 2007-2013, will be inaugurated on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June with a full program of performances, concerts, pageants, food and guided tours.

SATURDAY JUNE 20:
at 2,30pm: Meeting point Quinzano in Piazza della Pace. Trekking along Via della Carrozza up to the Service Centre (approx. 3,5 Km)
at 3,30pm: Meeting point New Service Centre in Monte Bibele. Opening of the Service Centre dedicated to Venturino Naldi.
at 4,30pm and 7pm: guided tours to the archaeological area starting from the Service Centre (trekking approx. 800 m)
at 6,30pm: guided tour to the new setting of the Archeological Museum in Monterenzio

FROM 8,30pm “CELTIC BLUE NIGHT”!

at 10pm: Show of Celtic combat
at 10,30pm: Cisalpipers in concert
at midnight: Lighting the Fire of the brotherhood and the Triskell, followed by dancing and music around the fire

Food & drink: Celtic grilled food - Celtic Piadina - Beer - Mulsum

SUNDAY JUNE 21:
at 9am: Meeting point Archeological Museum in Monterenzio - Trekking with C.A.I. guide up to Monte Bibele (approx. 10 Km)

at 10am and 2,30pm: Meeting point Quinzano in Piazza della Pace. Trekking along Via della Carrozza up to the Service Centre (approx. 3,5 Km)
at 10,30am; 12pm; 3,30pm Meeting point New Service Centre in Monte Bibele. “Vivere tra le querce dei Celti”, archeology and pageants

or

at 10,30pm guided tour to the new setting of the Archeological Museum in Monterenzio

FROM 10am TO 4pm “PIZZA CELTICA NO-STOP” GIVEN TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS AT THE SERVICE CENTRE
In the afternoon dance and music curated by Associazioni I Castellacci di Danu and Il Cerchio Magico.
