Terra provocata is an exhibit that aims to demonstrate how connections between Ceramics and Art are not only possible, but wanted by the artists themselves, who often make real creative incursions in the ceramics field.

 
Curated by Matteo Zauli, Guido Molinari the exhibition develops in two different locations. The rooms of Fondazione del Monte host works by  Salvatore Arancio, Bertozzi & Casoni, Giacinto Cerone,  Lucio Fontana, Formafantasma, Francesco Gennari, Liam Gillick, Martí Guixé, Christian Holstad, Ilya Kabakov, Eva Marisaldi, Maurizio Mercuri, Jonathan Monk, Luigi Ontani, Adrian Paci, Alessandro Pessoli, Tomoko Sakumoto, Marco Samorè, Thomas Schütte, Luca Trevisani, Ai Weiwei, Sislej Xhafa.
 
At Palazzo Ghisilardi - housing the Museo Civico Medievale di Bologna, there are  works by T-Yong Chung, Alberto Garutti, Mathieu Mercier, Daniel Silver, and Sissi's work "Servizio osseo", that will be installed immediately after the artist performance "L’imbandita",   at Oratorio San Filippo Neri (via Manzoni 5) on Sunday, January 31st, at 7.30 pm.
  
“Terra provocata. Percezione della materia e concetto nella materia” is promoted by Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna in collaboration with Istituzione Bologna Musei/Museo Civico Medievale and Museo Carlo Zauli in Faenza, on the occasion of ART CITY Bologna 2016.

 

 Art City Bologna 2016

ART CITY Bologna is the institutional programme of events born in 2013 as the result of the collaboration between Comune di Bologna and BolognaFiere. Its goal is to create a calendar of side events, exhibitions and cultural initiatives during Arte Fiera, in order to propose new ways for rediscovering the historical and artistic heritage of Bologna through contemporary artists' works. At its 4th edition this year, Art City takes place from January 29th to 31st 2016. Full programme of events is available on the website www.bolognagendacultura.it.
