Tartufesta is the traditional festival held in the months of October and November, enlivening the towns of the Bolognese Apennines with markets, exquisite menus and other initiatives centered around the ‘fine white truffle of the Bolognese hills’. Every year thousands of visitors from all over Italy are greeted by the locals. This event is an original way of spending a memorable day amongst the aromas and flavours of the unforgettable food and wine tradition of this territory.
The most prized product of this area is without a doubt the classic white truffle of the Bologna hills, which will be sold along with other local products. Among the many events, there will be informational meetings and tastings held by the producers, mycological and photography exhibitions, food stands, truffle dog competitions, conventions and themed meetings.
After the three summer dates dedicated to the black truffle (July 10, Savigno - August 7, Camugnano - August 9, Castel d’Aiano), Tartufesta 2016 goes on in autumn with the appointments dedicated to the fine white truffle of the Bolognese hills, taking place in the following towns and villages:
