The exhibition "René Paresce. Italiani a Parigi. Campigli, de Chirico, de Pisis, Savinio, Severini, Tozzi" (René Paresce. Italians in Paris. Campigli, de Chirico, de Pisis, Savinio, Severini, Tozzi) puts the spotlight over an unrepeatable period of the history of modern Italian art. Between 1928 and 1933, in a Paris swept by the avant-gardes, Campigli, de Chirico, de Pisis, Savinio, Severini, Tozzi and Paresce himself brought Italian painting back to the forefront of the European interwar art scene.

The exhibition in Santa Maria della Vita from 7 December 2017 to 25 Ferbuary 2018 draws special attention to René Paresce — a physicist, painter and intellectual who was part of the group — and traces the important role played by Les Italiens in technical experimentation and in the merging of modernity and tradition.
Seventy-three works selected on the basis of philological and historical research conducted over the last fifteen years.
