On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the First World War, Museo Civico del Risorgimento di Bologna hosts the exhibition Isonzo, le dodici battaglie (Isonzo, the twelve battles).
Through photos and documents, the exhibit retraces the events connected with the Italian army attacks against the Austro-Hungarian defences, which were launched along the front of Isonzo river, between 1915 and 1917. Up to the Twelfth battle, better known as the Battle of Caporetto (Battle of Kobarid).

The exhibition also features memories and documents coming from the museum’s archives and depositaries, which concern Bologna soldiers who died in those battles, as well as a diorama in 1:80.000 scale, created by  Aureliano Barnaba and Pasquale Durante.

"Isonzo, le dodici battaglie" is part of the project "Isonzo-Soča 1915 - Voci di guerra in tempo di pace", coordinated by Gruppo Ermada Flavio Vidonis di Duino-Aurisina and supported by Regione autonoma Friuli Venezia-Giulia, and also in collaboration with Museo del Risorgimento and other public and private institutions.
