On the occasion of  Art City Bologna 2015 Bologna Jewish Museum presents Corteccia, Federico Gori's solo exhibition curated by Niccolò Bonechi.
Federico Gori's installation is displayed in the Holocaust Memorial Hall inside Bologna Jewish Museum, a dimly lit space, where the memory of the Shoah victims in the Emilia-Romagna region is preserved. Here the artist has installed two large canvases which interact one with the other and with the space around.
The exhibition title Corteccia (bark) refers to the field of the artist's research and also to his tendency to explore natural elements. Sinuous shapes, hardly perceptible, made of grass and soil, cover the surface of the canvas and engage a sort of constant dialogue between the signifier and the meaning of the portrayed object.
