The European Electric Marathon passes from Bologna. On Tuesday, May 31st the Electric Marathon arrives in Bologna. The Marathon is the revival of the important historic event – Rally Tallinn-Monte Carlo that was held between 1930 and 1939.
The Electric Marathon left from Lviv in Ukraine on May 22nd, and will end in Montecarlo on June 3rd, where the award ceremony will take place with Prince of Monaco Albert II.
The electric vehicles are travelling along 3000 kilometres in total, crossing 10 European countries: Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy (Parma, Larderello, Bologna, Alassio) and France.
Electric Marathon is an intellectual rally. It is not about the speed, but the accuracy of the arrival time to the finish point. The participants will move on the public roads of Europe and they have to stick to all the traffic rules.
Electric vehicles are expected to arrive in Bologna at about 11 am in Piazza VIII agosto, to be charged for approx. 2 hours.
