Tastings, competitions, meetings, and sensorial itineraries, all focusing on delicious culinary excellences of Bologna territory. This is CIBÒ. So Good! Il festival dei sapori di Bologna (CIBÒ. So Good! The festival of Bologna tastes) at Palazzo Re Enzo from January 22nd to 24th, 2016.
CIBÒ. So Good! is a kind of journey through the Bologna region excellences. Among the proposals: the chefs of the Tour-Tlen Association who will be cooking nine irresistible specialities of classical and revisited Petronian cuisine every day; tens of cooking shows by the cookery school, Cibo, preparing very difficult and delicious dishes.

Furthermore, the presentation of the “Panino RossoBlù”, the “Challenge between Tortellini and Cappelletti”, the “Parmigiano Reggiano Night Party”, and the “CIBlogger competition! The Magnificent 7 of Bolognese Cuisine”. This competition will reward three traditional or innovative recipes, prepared with at least two of the “Magnificent 7” ingredients, i.e. Onions from Medicina, Green Asparagus from Altedo, Chestnuts from Castel del Rio, Pears from Emilia Romagna, Mortadella from Bologna, Parmigiano Reggiano and Potatoes from Bologna. All these high quality products are certified by European Union acknowledgements (DOP and IGP).

CIBÒ. So Good! programme also includes tasting sessions dedicated to coffee, artisan beer, new and old Petronian confectionary, Pignoletto and Wines from the Colli Bolognesi, DOP potatoes and Mortadella Bologna IGP, the Bologna undisputed “Queen” of cured meats. In addition to this: meetings, book presentations, interviews with celebrities, cookery workshops, prize-givings, talk shows with city authorities and representatives of the local business community, shows both for adults and children, and a food market.

The inauguration is on Friday, January 22, at 6 pm with the meeting “Viaggio tra le eccellenze del territorio bolognese: storia, cultura e protagonisti”  (Jouney among the excellences of Bologna region: history, culture and protagonists) presented by Andrea Cangini,  director of QN- Il Resto, and with the participation of Bologna mayor Virginio Merola.

The event, CIBÒ. So Good! is sponsored by the Comune di Bologna (Bologna Town Council) and entrance is free.
