1961 BOLOGNA. I MONDI DI PRIMO LEVI

24 January - 6 March 2016
Museo Ebraico

On the occasion of Holocaust Memorial Day, the Jewish Museum in Bologna presents an exhibition dedicated to a particular year in the life of Primo Levi, 1961.  For some years protagonist of first evidences of an extermination of which the world had difficulty in becoming aware, in '61 Levi was invited to Bologna to give a testimony in support of the lesson of Enzo Enriques Agnoletti on "Nazism and racial laws in Italy", the seventh appointment of the series "Thirty years of Italian history" organized by the regional federative Council of the Resistance in Emilia-Romagna.
The exhibition offers a horizontal cross section of the complex plot full of reflections and activities conducted in the same 1961 by the great writer from Turin: a taste of the "worlds" of Primo Levi.
