At an altitude of 655 metres, and with its weather erosion worn peaks Monte Adone is the highest summit of the Parco del Contrafforte Pliocenico(Park of Pliocene Buttress)
On a clear day, the view of the horizon stretches up to the highest peaks of the Apennines: Corno alle Scale, Cimone and Mount Cusna.
Lower, at the base of the mountain’s cliff in the Valley of the Setta, is the Grotta delle Fate (Fairy Cave). A local legend surrounds this narrow cleft in the rock that is fifty metres long, dotted by fallen masses.
