Ferrari is definitely one of the most prestigious companies in the design and production of cars. Its importance and prestige are mainly due to Enzo Ferrari, also known as “il Drake” who, from the very beginning, collected victories and contributed to the development of the company as a myth all over the world.
In the past Ferrari competed and often won many races and championships such as Daytona, Le Mans, Sebring, Mille Miglia, Targa Florio and still successfully participates in exciting competitions like Formula 1 World Championship. The first car was built in Maranello in 1947 and from that moment the growth of the company has never stopped, always trying to do its best. The philosophy of the company may be summarized in a famous sentence by Enzo Ferrari: «Per me, la vittoria più importante è quella che debbo ancora conseguire». («I think the most important victory is the one yet to come»)
Ferrari still has its headquarter in Maranello - where both administrative, design and manufacturing activities take place - and its offices may be found all over the world.
