The name Ducati is synonymous of technology, high performance, Italian style, and is a symbol in the imagination of motorcyclists, who link it to a long series of victories on the race track and to a high level of designing motorcycles for road use.
Models such as the Monster and the 996 are recognized as masterpieces of design and mechanics, true classics.

The company was born in 1926, when the three Cavalieri Ducati brothers – Adriano, Bruno and Marcello – founded the Società Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati, which did not yet produce motorcycles, but electro- mechanical materials.

World War II inflicted heavy damage, but Ducati rose again, to launch in 1946 the production of the “Cucciolo”, a 48 cc engine mounted on a bicycle.
The Fifties saw thrilling long-distance races for which the company created the Gran Sport 100 and 125 called “Marianna”, designed by the engineer Fabio Taglioni, who greatly contributed to the development of the legendary Ducati up to the end of the Seventies, by designing the twin-cylinder engines that have given the house such great racing and commercial satisfaction.

Starting from its victory in the first Superbike world’s championship (1990), for the Bologna manufacturer there began a decade of unrivaled leadership, with the 916, the 996 and the 999.
In 1993 after more than 30 years absence, Ducati made a successful comeback to World Moto GP, collecting such imposing results with various versions of the Desmosedici as second (2003) and two thirds (2004 and 2005) in the Manufacturer’s Championship as well as very good positions in the Driver’s Championship.
