The “Restarte” gallery starts its exhibition activity in December 2007 in Bologna, in the heart of the town, from a project of its founder, Cosimo Resta, who has been working in the sector for more than ten years.
It is specialized in contemporary art, the works it presents are mainly Italian. The gallery exhibits works of historic masters such as Giorgio De Chirico, Roberto Crippa,  Mario Schifano, Piero Ruggeri, Salvatore Fiume, Francesco Messina, Emilio Tadini, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Antonio Bueno, Luca Alinari and Valerio Adami.
The activity of the “Restarte” gallery is not only limited to these choices, the gallery also presents young emerging artists, such as Davide Frisoni, Ali Hassoun, Raffaele Minotto, Marco Tamburro.
At the same time the gallery exhibits works of world-famous contemporary artists: Alessandro Papetti, Luca Pignatelli, Alessandro Busci, Leonardo Lucchi, Ugo Nespolo, Giampaolo Talani, Rabarama. This confirms the stylistic choice of the gallery, oriented towards contemporary figurative arts.
There are also collateral but important events: in the past two years the gallery “Restarte” has committed itself to organize and sponsor exhibitions in public places: in 2010 the anthological exhibition of Ali Hassoun in the City Hall of Siena and the personal exhibition of Davide Frisoni in the City Hall of Rimini. For 2011 the following exhibitions will be organized: the anthological exhibition of Franco Fortunato, also in Siena, and the anthological exhibition of Raffaele Minotto in Mantua.
Beside that, Restarte has taken part in the main exhibitions of contemporary art, for many years, in Italy (Padua, Bergamo, Brescia, Reggio Emilia, Forte dei Marmi and from this year Arezzo) and abroad (Innsbruck, Miami), always with the same success.
So in a short period of time the elegant gallery “Restarte” has become a reference point for art lovers and for the collectors of works of the most prestigious names of Italian art.
