Founded in 1992 by Enrico Astuni in Fano (I), the gallery moved to Pietrasanta, Tuscany, in 2000. In 2009 it opens a new exhibition space in Bologna which concentrates its activity on one person and group exhibitions of emerging Italian and international artists and of key figures in contemporary art. In October 2009 the Gallery initiates the project ASTUNIpublicSTUDIO, which consists in a series of exhibitions and events that aim to introduce a larger amount of people to contemporary art. The initiative sets forth to highlight young artists and to showcase curato rial visions.
