Learn to cook in Bologna
The courses are open to all, the important thing is to be passionate about cooking, or simply curious and eager to prove himself. We can conduct courses in various foreign languages: english, french, spanish. We also advanced courses for professionals.
It all started from our passion for good food and our traditions. We have worked up and the result is a cooking school where we try to transfer our enthusiasm and our culture. We explore all Italian food, but we focus on Bolognese and Northern cuisine.
L'antica arte della sfoglia, come diventare sfoglini is a 12 hours course aiming at creating new ‘sfoglini’ (‘sfoglia’/sheet of paistry-makers) of the future. Thanks to Elisabetta Martelli, that is Chef and Entrepreneur in food sector but temporarily Trainer for this course, participants will be able both to hand down to posterity their cooking art as transform their passion in a real career.
Since 1999 Carmelita has been sharing her passion for Bologna and its food by running small cooking classes for just 1 to 4 guests, 6 if friends or family. The hands-on classes are held in English and are intended for English speaking visitors and holiday makers.

Cucina Mascarella was born out of a desire to spread healthy cooking, with attention to organic produce prepared with Bolognese and Mediterranean flavours, without ignoring the exotic ingredients which are part of our gastronomic culture.
Cooking classes to taste, enjoy, and live the World in its peculiar expressions.
During the lessons we will practice different traditional techniques of cooking and we will have the opportunity to learn about special ingredients and homemade recipes from different countries of the world.
